Description of the TWIG TSW90EU

The TWIG TSW90EU is a remote control button. The button is a Category 2 short range device. The product is designed to be worn around the neck, on the wrist or in the pocket. The product works with a lithium primary battery. The TSW90EU is fully protected against dust. The product is also waterproof, so no water can penetrate. Water damage can only occur if the product is kept at a depth of 30 meter for more than 1 minutes.

Operation of the TWIG TSW90EU

The button can be activated by pressing the red button. When the button is activated, a red color LED will light up, indicating that the message has been sent. When the message is received by the TWIG personal alarm device, it will acknowledge the message by sending an acknowledgment back to the TSW90EU. As a result of the confirmation, the LED turns green. If it failed to receive a confirmation, the TWIG TSW90EU will try to send a message three more times and then stop sending.

When someone presses the red button, a remote process is immediately started. The settings programmed on the TWIG Personal Alarm Device allow the cause of the message to be sent to the Alarm Receiving Center.

What is a Category 2 frequency?

Due to these new Radio Equipment Directives (RED), they impose stricter requirements on short-range equipment. TWIG now works with a category 2 frequency 868,229 MHz. The category 2 frequency is no longer approved for use as a social alarm.
