Drones are everywhere these days. A drone is a real 'Eye in the Sky'. With drones it is possible to observe large groups of crowds and to observe events. The use of drones has advantages, but also disadvantages. For example, there are strict regulations to which users are bound. Users have to deal with aviation legislation and the driver and observer of the drone must be certified. It is not allowed to fly everywhere and the privacy (experience) of visitors is at stake.

An observer from a drone is usually located at a distance of several kilometers from the driver. Walkie-talkie communication is regularly used for communication. In this case, there are roughly three different products that are eligible:

  1. License-free walkie-talkies.
License-free walkie-talkies have a range of approximately 700 meters in an open field. No permit is required and there is shared use on the canals. Optionally, we can reprogram the walkie-talkies so that shared use is no longer an issue. The license-free walkie-talkies use PMR446 frequencies that can be used throughout Europe. We recommend a Kenwood TK-3701DE
  2. Licensed walkie-talkies
These walkie-talkies have a range of up to approximately 1500 meters. The license for your walkie-talkie network is paid directly to the Telecom Agency. Firecom fills in the papers for you as far as possible. You can then send this request directly. The license costs are approximately € 172,00 one-off and € 65,00 per year for two-way radio traffic. This price is regardless of the number of devices. In case of drone flying we will offer VHF models. These do not interfere with your drone frequencies because these frequencies are specific to walkie-talkies. We recommend a Motorola DP1400 VHF digital
  3. 2G, 3G or 4G walkie-talkies
These two-way radios have coverage throughout Europe and we deliver an extremely high audio quality. You pay for the use of the walkie-talkies per year license. There is no license from the Telecom Agency and you have no challenge with range or quality. If you want to use this in areas where there is no GSM coverage, choose step 2 with a maximum range of 1500 meters. We advise you Two Motorola TLK100i radios including annual license
