Multitone ATEX certified pagers are designed and manufactured to very stringent intrinsically safe standards, to reduce the risk of generating the slightest spark or heat, which can cause an explosive reaction. The EkoTek assistance pager offers all functionalities to use the system properly. Display, man-down, no-movement, snatch cord and a charger.
The EkoTek assistance pager is registered via the central hub. When pressing the red button, the pager automatically sends a message to the central equipment. Other employees immediately receive an alarm including location determination on the screen. Colleagues can accept the notification on the alarm receiver so that the sender is immediately informed of the reaction. A safe feeling!

The platform
Multitone's EkoSecure Employee Security System gives employers the assurance that if an employee or visitor gets into trouble, an alarm can be raised and emergency responders guided to their location.
In addition, the rescuer knows whether the alarm has been triggered manually, the emergency button has been pressed, or automatically, thanks to the 'Man Down' or 'Dead Man' alerts, whether 'Snatch Cord' activation has been activated.
The EkoSecure ATEX pager offers all of these features and can be worn in explosive environments that require equipment that meets:
- EN60079-0: General requirements
- EN60079–11: Protection of Equipment by Intrinsic Safety
Certified IS Classification: II 1G Ex ia IIC T3 Ga (-10oC ≤Ta≤ + 55oC) (The pager must be charged in an EKOPC4B rack, outside a hazardous area).

Optional functions
- The Hub includes the controller and memory of an EkoSecure network, manages a radio network of EkoSecure repeaters (and other devices), and is configured by web pages.
- An alarm message from an Ekosecure Pager is sent through the mesh to the Hub, which processes the alarm and notifies the configured group (s) of other Ekosecure Pagers, with a message, the user's name, location and type alarm. In the schematic example, all EkoSecure ATEX pagers are configured in the same exclusive pager group, so that only EkoSecure ATEX pager carriers are notified when only an ATEX rescue must be performed from the sprayer in the spray booth; standard EkoSecure pager (non-ATEX) carriers are not disturbed.
- EkoSecure repeaters and locators broadcast their location, EkoSecure pagers show this as a precise location if they are within a few meters of the transmitter, or as a general location if they are further away.
- EkoSecure pagers are available in ATEX and non-ATEX models; all other EkoSecure devices are non-ATEX.
