MOTOTRBO, pronounced MOTO-TURBO, is a Motorola digital radio format designed for business, industrial, and commercial use. Due to its versatility, power and advanced digital technology, it is at the forefront of bidirectional radio functionality.
Designed and compatible with the European 2-slot DMR, this digital communications product platform relies on Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) to accommodate two simultaneous users. A 12,5 kHz channel can facilitate two simultaneous calls, as well as individual voice and data paths equivalent to 6,25 kHz.
