When using license-free walkie-talkies, you may experience interference or nuisance from others. This has to do with the fact that license-free walkie-talkies use approximately 30 frequencies / channels that have been released by the Telecom Agency. All license-free walkie-talkies in the Netherlands can use these channels. It is therefore possible that other people in the area use the same channel, which will interfere with your communication or cause the two-way radios to crack.

Do you suffer from interference on the radios and do they creak a lot? This can be easily solved by making them free from interference. A technical employee of Firecom can easily do this for you!

A radio is tuned to the standard frequencies of a specific supplier upon delivery. In addition to this frequency, the radio also uses an undertone (CTCSS). If the frequency and undertone match, the radio's speaker will open and sound the signal at that frequency. Standard settings are usually used when the radio is delivered. It is possible that a radio will hear other radios with equal frequency and undertone. These radios are almost out of range so that the signal comes in as cracking or noise. Sometimes you can change the channel, but if someone else does, you still experience interference. The frequencies and undertone of the radios can easily be changed by us with a programming set. We then change the undertone to a completely different one so that you no longer suffer from interference.
