One of the unique features is the Single Frequency Repeater Mode. With this feature it is possible to put your walkie-talkie into a repeater mode. So you can increase your range with this function without using a base station or a repeater.
For example:
An employee uses two-way radio “MS1” in a tunnel and would like to communicate with MS3 in the camp. However, the range between the camp and the tunnel is not sufficient. If there is an area that is in the range of MS1 and MS3, you could place a PD985 with an SFR function here to enable or stabilize the communication between MS1 and MS3.
