The robust MOTOTRBO Ion smart radio is the first turnkey communication device with all-in voice and broadband data capabilities. The walkie-talkie works with traditional DMR walkie-talkies, but is also able to communicate via walkie-talkies APPS such as WAVEPTX. The device makes it possible to combine functions and supports all apps from the Google Play Store. With this device you can combine all functions. The walkie-talkie also has support for analog walkie-talkies and can therefore work with ALL existing walkie-talkies. You can also think of simple emergency response radios.

The rugged MOTOTRBO Ion smart radio is the first turnkey communication device with all-in voice and broadband data capabilities. The transceiver works with traditional DMR walkie-talkies, but is also able to communicate via walkie-talkies APPS such as WAVEPTX. The device makes it possible to combine functions and supports all apps from the Google Play Store. With this device you can combine all functions. The walkie-talkie also has support for analog walkie-talkies and can therefore work with ALL existing walkie-talkies. You can also think of simple emergency response radios. It is possible to combine fall protection or lone work protection on this unit.
The MotoTRBO ION two-way radio does not support traditional calling, but it would be possible to install a VOIP application, for example. The device is optimized and made for data applications. When installing the WAVE PTX, the walkie-talkie will automatically switch between traditional walkie-talkie and walkie-talkie applications. A physical SIM card can be placed in the device.
The two-way radios support all MotoTRBO techniques such as simplex, direct mode, IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus and Capacity Max. This device does not support 5G or TETRA (stand 2021). This is in the development for the next 5 years. It is therefore possible to implement this device in your existing fleet with for example SL1600 en DP4400 walkie-talkies.

Combine emergency response apps with MotoTRBO ION
MotoTRBO ION makes it possible to emergency response app to be combined with traditional walkie-talkies. Other devices do not support a traditional walkie-talkie function. This device gives priority to walkie-talkies, but also provides support for emergency response apps. In addition to using BHV apps, you can also use WhatsApp on the MotoTRBO ION walkie-talkie. All apps from the Google Play store are supported.
