With the SC2020 first remove the battery and then you can attach the clip to the postage. Locks securely. Changing the battery is still possible. To remove the clip, remove the battery and push up on a tab. This guarantees that the clip will not just come loose.
So far I have only used the clip on the loop on the shoulder. Long enough and tight enough. To change the battery of the port, just push the clip up slightly, no problem.
