Description of the Icom IC-M330e

The Icom IC-M330E is a complete VHF, equipped with DCS and ATIS. The VHF is equipped with the new interface and softkey operation from Icom, which ensures an optimal user experience. A plotter or external GPS receiver can be connected to the NMEA0183 connection.

ATIS and MMSI

Before you can start using the radio on the water, the ATIS code and possibly the MMSI code must be set. This ATIS code can usually only be programmed once. We are happy to do this for you.

Easy in use

Simple operation is central to the new interface of the IC-M330E. The intuitive softkey operation and the new interface ensure that you have quick access to all important functions of the radio. All information is clearly visible on the large Full Dot Matrix Display.

Class D DSC

The radio has Class D DSC for distress calls. The IC-M330E has a separate receiver for channel 70. This allows calls to be received while listening to a different channel.

IPX7 waterproof with AquaQuake

The VHF is IPX7 waterproof. This is equivalent to submerging the VHF 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. In addition, the IC-M330E has an AquaQuake function. If water gets into the speaker grill, hard vibrations will ensure that this water is pushed out.

Installation

A U-shaped surface mount bracket is supplied as standard for mounting. Installation is possible with a separately available MBF-5.
