GHOR Flevoland is part of the GGD Flevoland. The GHOR advises municipalities on the issue of safety permits at large-scale events. During a large-scale incident, the GHOR coordinates medical assistance. The GHOR works together with the ambulance service, the GGD, hospitals, general practitioners (missions) and the Red Cross. In principle, all these organizations do their own work, with the GHOR providing coordination and support. It does this in coordination with multidisciplinary partners such as the fire brigade and the police.
“We contacted Firecom at the beginning of 2019. We were looking for new alarm receivers for our picket officers ”, says Mariella Beers, specialist operational preparation GHOR Flevoland. “After an extensive test period, we opted for Firecom. The new Swissphone alarm receivers have a small size and are waterproof. These were requirements for us because the users wear this equipment all day long ”. GGD / GHOR Flevoland is one of the first emergency services in the Netherlands that uses alarm receivers with a C2000 approval inspection. In addition to the standard alarm receiver, there is also a model with a SIM card for feedback to the control room.
